It's not hyperbole to say Mitchell Silver is one of the most experienced, most respected city planners in the world. And for a second time, we've got him right here in Raleigh.
Silver helped develop Raleigh's comprehensive plan as its chief planning officer before moving to New York City to serve as Commissioner of the Department of Parks and Recreation. Now he's returned to Raleigh as a principal at McAdams, but his passion for making Raleigh the best city it can be hasn't changed. Hear his thoughts on the comprehensive plan then and now, what he's learned about parks, and what Raleigh needs (water! Capital Boulevard improvements!) most right now.
