Mickey Fearn, consultant for Raleigh's community engagement
Show Notes

Mickey Fearn is a delightfully charming man to talk to...but that's not why people keep calling him. Cities, governments, parks departments and college administrators all want to know what secrets Mickey has about solving community engagement and re-thinking city and park planning to reflect the needs and desires of the whole community. The latest to make him an offer is the city of Raleigh, who has tasked Mickey with helping them figure out how to best engage its citizens. He is clear about one thing: he will not be offering easy-bake solutions. He will be leading conversations, listening to folks from all different levels of leadership, and helping Raleigh discover for itself what the best next step is.

Fearn has worked for the city of Seattle, the National Parks Service, and most recently has served as a Professor of Practice for N.C. State's School of Natural Resources. He has served on the city, state and national government level working with parks and improving communities.

Special thanks to Papa Murphy's Take N Bake Pizza of Raleigh--who has a great deal for Customer Appreciation going on through June 29th--and Steele Residential, who has graciously donated their ad time during the pandemic to local non-profits, this episode they're supporting The Boys and Girls Club of Wake County.
