Rafael Baptista likes to help people. He does it in his "free" time by volunteering for the Red Cross and working as a collegiate soccer official. And he does it every day in Raleigh's Office of Economic Development and Innovation, helping individuals and small businesses help grow and continue to improve Raleigh's business climate. One way his office has achieved this goal is creating the Impact Partner Grant Program which recently announced its second wave of recipients. We talked to Rafael about the grant program and other ways his office helps with business development.
We also discuss a big hockey announcement and other sports news, and look at new plans for Seaboard Station, and OF COURSE we have to talk about snow since it doesn't happen here very often!
Special thanks to our sponsor, Steele Residential--check them out for buying, selling or renting!
