Gregg Warren and Yvette Holmes from DHIC
Show Notes

Gregg Warren is the President and Yvette Holmes the Vice President of Resource Development and Partnerships for DHIC, whose motto is "Home to Opportunity." They not only help homebuyers and renters by providing affordable housing, they provide an array of services to help people and help make great neighborhoods. They literally make Raleigh—and many surrounding communities—a better place to live.

Yvette has been with DHIC since 2012 and has worked for over 25 years in non-profits, including with the United Arts Council and the Tammy Lynn Center

Gregg will be retiring as DHIC President next summer. In his more than 30 years there, DHIC has completed more than $300 million of development projects, and have built 2,700 affordable apartments in 45 communities across 8 counties that are now home to more than 4,000 children, adults and seniors. And we have made it possible for more than 2,000 families to purchase their first homes. DHIC is indeed the leader in both the non-profit and the affordable housing sectors in the Triangle and beyond.

We also talk about grocery stores, scooters, and restaurants, and we discuss some of Raleigh's best FESTIVALS since we're in the middle of a big festival stretch that this week includes IBMA and Wide Open Bluegrass.
